The Albufera

Just a few kilometres from the centre of Valencia lies one of the most special natural areas in the Valencian Community.

La Albufera is a vast lagoon surrounded by rice paddies and one of the places where Valencian paella originated. A boat trip at sunset is a great way to take a break from football for a few hours and, above all, to gain an understanding of a fundamental part of the local cuisine and culture.
