"La Roja" in Huelva

The Spanish national football team has played three games in Huelva, two friendly games and one EURO 2016 qualifier, and has won them all. In 2001, the recently inaugurated Nuevo Colombino hosted a match against Mexico (1-0), and a few years later, in 2008, it was the scene of a warm-up match against Peru (2-1). Finally, in 2014, it hosted a Spain-Belarus (3-0) game in the fourth qualifying round for France 2016.
