Gothic Quarter

The Gothic Quarter is the historic heart of Barcelona and one of the best places to discover the city’s fascinating past. Its narrow streets preserve traces of ancient Barcino alongside medieval churches, palaces and atmospheric squares. Highlights include Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça de Sant Jaume, Plaça del Rei, Carrer del Bisbe and the charming Plaça de Sant Felip Neri. Visitors can also discover remains of the ancient Roman walls and traces of the former Jewish Quarter.
