City of Arts and Sciences

This vast complex, designed primarily by Santiago Calatrava, occupies the final stretch of the old Turia riverbed and combines architecture, science, culture and leisure. Even if you don’t have time to visit its various spaces, it’s well worth taking a stroll around the outside to admire its buildings, bridges and large bodies of water. It is also one of the best places from which to appreciate the contrast between historic Valencia and the contemporary city.
