Old Colombino

In 1957, Recreativo de Huelva moved to a new stadium, originally known as the Estadio Municipal. It was located in the Isla Chica neighbourhood. With a capacity of 6,000 seated and 7,000 standing spectators, it had an athletics track surrounding the pitch. The Estadio Municipal was later known as the Estadio Colombino and remained the home ground of the Decano until 2001.
