1986 European Cup Final

Before the Champions League, there was the European Cup, which was contested exclusively by the champions of the European leagues. On 7 May 1986, Steaua Bucharest were crowned champions in a shock victory in a nail-biting final against FC Barcelona (0–0 after normal time and extra time, 2–0 on penalties), with goalkeeper Duckadam emerging as the hero of the Romanian side.
