Central Market and Silk Exchange

The Central Market is one of the most spectacular markets in Spain and a great place to discover Valencian cuisine: fruit, vegetables, cured meats, cheeses, fish and, of course, ingredients for making a delicious paella.

Directly opposite is the Lonja de la Seda, one of the great masterpieces of European civil Gothic architecture. Built between the 15th and 16th centuries, it reflects the commercial importance Valencia attained during the city’s golden age.
