Picasso Birthplace Museum

The Picasso Birthplace, renamed the Picasso Birthplace Museum, was created as the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Foundation by decision of the Malaga City Council in 1988. This emblematic place, where the genius was born on 25 October 1881, houses the first floor where the family living room is recreated with antique furniture and paintings by Pablo’s father, José Ruiz Blasco, where numerous works by the artist, personal and family objects are housed in this special space. The library hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
